This should be a relatively short post as I want to get to editing some photos and for the first time in awhile, get back into playing a little guitar each day. I've found that I tend to work better in all that I attempt when I'm not so focused on one singular task -- thus more guitar playing.
That wasn't the personal first today however. For about a year now, I've been a member of the digital photography school. I'm not bragging -- it's free to get in and offers an amazing community of online photographers discussing ideas and sharing photos taken. I'd made my very first photography forum post today and it was my own views on doing a year-long project from someone who has just started the process. It wasn't deep or particularly meaningful, but it's there. More and more, I'm accepting and letting go of reservations I had of folks online critiquing my work and destroying my ego, but with this first forum post, I've started to move beyond that fear and am slowly getting more comfortable at "putting myself out there". I've wanted to advertise my photo site for awhile now anyway - preparing for the floods of strangers I don't know.
